Maybe
Thursday, May 31, 2012 Perhaps we should consider days other than the last day of the month to share the latest and greatest from Brandpersand, but that notion will need to wait at least until June now that the last day of May has arrived.
That said, a little bit of travel combined with a long, and well-deserved, Memorial Day weekend provides two sufficient reasons for the delay to post the following bits of interest collected over the past few weeks:
- Let's begin with the most topical tidbit, today's approval of PDUFA V by the House of Representatives. Regarding the potential implications of the latest Prescription Drug User Fee Act for the review of proprietary drug names by the FDA, we anticpate an answer by the end of 2012 in a revised guidance for industry.
- From DomainNameWire, the cautionary tale of Quizzle and how not to name your company.
- A great read from Martin Lindstrom in the latest Fast Company regarding narcissism and the future of branding.
- From Seth Godin, a reminder that "...humans have been naming things for a long time."
With that last link, a seque to note we here at Brandpersand have also been naming things for a long time, and would welcome the opportunity to name something, say a new automobile, for one of our readers!
